What the Steam message means
Steam keys are tied to the account that redeemed them. The same key cannot be used again to add the product to another account.
What to check first
- Check the library and test entitlements on the Steam account you intended to use.
- Check the original invitation or key-delivery channel so you know which platform the key was intended for.
- If the test is already in your library, check the event schedule before trying another key.
- If entitlement is still unclear, contact the original issuing channel or official support with the exact message. Do not post the full key publicly.
Can Steam replace it?
Valve’s guidance for a duplicate retail key is to contact the seller; Steam does not issue a replacement. That retail policy does not establish Bonfire’s replacement policy for free Arkheron test invitations.
Are there other access routes?
The official sign-up and FirstLook invitation are separate access options. Community reports mention new keys or Steam invitations resolving individual access problems, but those reports do not guarantee availability for your account.
Still fails with another account or key?
The generic duplicate-key explanation cannot diagnose that case on its own. Keep the exact error and the original delivery context for support rather than assuming that changing accounts will fix it.
